ABOUT ME:
My name is Ms. Francis and I am so excited to be your child's teacher! I am going on my 6th year teaching, but I have been working with children/adolescents for over 10 years. My favorite thing about teaching is learning from my students and building meaningful relationships with their families and supporters. My family originates from the beautiful island of Trinidad and Tobago, and I have a deep connection with my culture. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, and eating great food. Besides teaching science I have passion for the arts especially dance and I teach contemporary , jazz, hip-hop afterschool.Â
EDUCATION:
I grew up in Canarsie, Brooklyn and attended James Madison High School. I graduated Plattsburgh State University with my Bachelors Degree in Biology and a short two week later I attended Oswego State University where I graduate with a Masters in Adolescence Education with a concentration in science. Currently I am school pursuing an Education Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Special Education and Fordham University. Â
