Curriculum
Welcome to Our Biology Class!
We are excited to welcome your child to a new school year of Biology at Williamsburg Preparatory High School. In our classroom, we believe that every student is unique and capable of success. We're set for an exciting year ahead, aiming for a classroom where every student feels respected, supported, and driven towards 100% mastery.
Class Structure and Learning Cycle:
We start each unit with teacher-led lessons and group activities.
Then students will shift to self-paced learning:
Students progress through the material at their own pace, using short video lessons and activities made by the Williamsburg Prep Biology Teachers.
At the end of each lesson students will have a short quiz 1-4 questions called “Learning Checks”. that required students to score 100% to move onto the next lesson.
Students have UNLIMITED ATTEMPTS to score 100%.
During Self Paced Work Students Will:
Watch video lessons, take notes,
Collaborate with classmates.
Ask for help when needed.
During Self Paced Work Teachers Will:
Provide hands-on help.
Instant feedback during class.

Labs
Extra Credit: Students who finish early that are helpful to OTHERS by peer tutoring or cleaning the classroom will earn Extra Credit.
.Late Work Policy: Due to flexible deadlines, late submissions are not accepted. Students have until the end of unit regent readiness assessment to complete the assignments.
